Medical Surgical Nurse New

Pride Health is hiring a Tele RN to support our client’s medical facility based in Waterloo, Iowa. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

A Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN) cares for patients needing continuous cardiac monitoring. They interpret EKGs, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in heart rhythms. Tele RNs administer medications, perform assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop care plans. They educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and recovery. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong communication skills are essential. Tele RNs also manage IVs, operate telemetry equipment, and ensure accurate documentation. Their role is vital in identifying early signs of complications and ensuring timely, high-quality care for patients with heart-related conditions.

Qualifications:

One must complete an accredited nursing program, either an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). A current and valid RN license is required, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) and often Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Some employers also prefer or require telemetry or cardiac care certification. Clinical experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or critical care units is typically preferred. Tele RNs must be skilled in reading EKGs, using telemetry equipment, and providing high-quality cardiac care with strong critical thinking and communication skills.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
